Unity Lighting helps you manage Christmas and holiday looks on compatible outdoor LED controllers. Combine a color or palette with an effect, preview the look, save a preset and manage schedules. Permanent versus temporary installation is a hardware decision; Unity provides the control workspace.
Build a holiday look from two simple choices
Start with the colors: a single color for a quiet look or a palette for a blend. Then choose an effect to decide whether those colors stay steady or move. Brightness, speed and intensity refine the result without requiring you to start over.
For a Christmas look, you might create a red-and-green palette with a gentle effect. For another celebration, keep the effect and change the palette. These are starting ideas, not a promise that every controller renders every effect in the same way.
Save the combination you want to use again
A preset keeps related settings together. Give it a name that identifies its purpose, such as Christmas evening or Everyday welcome, so the household can find it later. Unity also supports custom palettes on supported firmware.
Preview before applying, then check the controller’s reported state. A screen preview shows the intended appearance; it cannot prove the physical lights received a command.
Plan the return to everyday lighting
Decide when the holiday lighting should run, when it should turn off and which everyday look you want afterward. Review the property’s time zone and existing schedules so a second routine does not replace the look unexpectedly.
If you are choosing an installation, compare the full year of use rather than only December. Ask who owns the hardware, who handles maintenance, how controls are handed over and what happens if a controller loses connectivity.

Does permanent Christmas lighting have to look festive all year?
A compatible color-capable installation can use different saved looks for everyday evenings and holidays. The available colors, effects and independent areas depend on the installed equipment.
Will Unity work with my existing Christmas lights?
Verify the controller model, firmware and supported integration first. Conventional plug-in strings and proprietary lighting systems do not become compatible simply because they use LEDs or Wi-Fi.
Should I choose permanent or seasonal lighting?
